Water of Life Half Marathon

Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre, Marlow, Bucks

On Sunday 21st March 2010 we will be celebrating World Water Day (22nd March) and what better way to show your support by raising money for clean drinking water in Africa.

Starting and finishing in the prestigious Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre, the scenic 13.1 mile route follows the Thames between Marlow and Henley before looping back through the spectacular countryside. Childrens races, entertainment throughout the run followed by a well-earned BBQ after the race will all be held within the beautiful grounds of Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre.

Sponsored by Diageo's Water of Life programme, our aim is to raise £100,000 which will go directly to Pump Aid to fund the Manicaland project in Zimbabwe. Through the provision of clean water supplies and community training, the project aims to provide 100 clean wells to meet the water needs of 25,000 people. Of course if we exceed our fundraising target this means we will be able to reach many more people with clean water supplies.

If you’re only going to support one charity event this year, make it the Water of Life Half Marathon - a great day out for an even greater cause.

All public places have now been filled. Limited remaining entries available to Diageo employees, associates and Water of Life fundraisers only.  Minimum sponsorship requirement: £400
