Be a Gunner. Be a Runner 2010 Saturday 13th March 2010 Emirates Stadium, London Registration is now open for Be a Gunner. Be a Runner. an exciting fun run in support of Great Ormond Street Hospital - Arsenal’s charity of the season. Join us on Saturday 13 March and run 10 laps of Emirates Stadium - a total of 6.4km. Registration is just £15 and we're hoping to recruit as many runners as possible so please spread the word!

Stockley Park Easter Monday 10k 2010 Stockley Park, Uxbridge, UB11 1HB Monday 5th April, 2010 at 10:30am THIS WOULD MAKE A PERFECT PRE-LONDON SHARPENER! This gently undulating course is a mixture of footpaths, trails and wide, mainly traffic-free roads, taking in Stockley park and the Golf Club. Great spectator-friendly start and finish, with refreshments available, so bring the family. Good on-site parking. Easily accessible – close to M4, M25, Heathrow, with good rail links. Marshals needed - if you, or someone you know, can't run this year, why not give a few hours of your time marshaling. In return, we will give you a guaranteed free place in next year's race (or another PP race). It's a vital function as races can't go ahead without marshals, but you'll be surprised how much fun it is too! Email us to put your name down or for more info.
QMR 5k/10k Race Series 2010 Queen Mother Reservoir, Horton Rd, Horton SL3 9NT Tuesday evenings at 7:30pm on 18th May; 15th June; 13th July 2010 Popular Tuesday evening race series! Choose either 10km or 5km. Run around the glorious Queen Mother Reservoir, with views of Windsor Castle. Completely flat; 2 lap for 10km, 1 lap for 5km; grass/track surface. Enter any race individually, or enter more than one at the same time, for a great time trial series (and a reduction in price!). Prizes for the individual race winners, plus an overall race series prize. Toilets, changing & refreshments in Datchet Water Sailing Club; traffic free; on-site parking; spectator-friendly. Sorry, no dogs allowed on premises. Entries on day, unless limit is reached beforehand, so please check first! All profits and sponsorship money raised to go to Water Aid.

Down Tow Up Flow Half Marathon Start: Windsor Leisure Centre, Stovell Road, Windsor SL4 5JB Finish: Marlow Rugby Club, Riverwoods Drive, Marlow, SL7 1QU Sunday 25th July 2010 - 10am Run this gloriously scenic, flat, multi-terrain, point-to-point half marathon along the Thames towpath. Mainly traffic free. Run in reverse directions each year; this year it is "Up Flow" therefore starting in Windsor and finishing in Marlow, taking in Maidenhead, Cookham and Bourne End along the way. Plenty of parking at either end. As this is a point-to-point race, you can park at the finish in Marlow and take the coach provided to the start (additional £5 - must be booked when you enter) - once you've finished the race your car will be there waiting for you! Spectator friendly route and finish area with refreshments by the river in Marlow, so bring the family! Over subscribed very early every year, so sorry, but no entries on the day and postal entries accepted until 16th July only if limit has not been reached.
Grand Union Canal Half Marathon Start: Cowley Recreation Ground, Uxbridge, UB8 2EA Finish: Cassiobury Park, Watford,WD18 7HY Sunday 14th November 2010 - 10am Run this unusual, scenic, flat, multi-terrain, point-to-point half marathon along the Grand Union Canal towpath, taking in locks and different landscapes as you pass by. Traffic free apart from one marshaled road crossing. As this is a point-to-point race, you can park at the finish and take the coach provided to the start (additional £5 - must be booked when you enter) - once you've finished the race your car will be there waiting for you! Great finish in Cassiobury Park - a spectator friendly finish area with cafe and 190 acres of parkland, so bring the family! Over subscribed last year, sorry, but no entries on the day and postal entries accepted until 5th Nov only if limit has not been reached.
Volunteers! Do you enjoy the atmosphere and excitement of Race Day, but don't actually want to run yourself (or maybe you are not able to at the moment)? Would you enjoy helping out and getting involved? We always need people to be part of our fantastic trusted band of volunteers. Duties can be anything from marshalling, manning the finish funnel, water stations or tea/coffee stand, or even setting up the course - different duties but all vitally important in order to have a safe and successful race. Or perhaps you know of someone else who enjoys watching you running, who may not mind lending a hand. It isn't paid work, but is very satisfying and fantastic fun! Please contact us if you can help out - we will be extremely pleased to hear from you!
